Built in the 1990s(?), the tower has been a familiar presence for generations of locals. Even for those of us who never went near it, it carried a sense of home.
a quiet symbol of the city itself.
With the recent modifications, the tower’s iconic silhouette is slowly disappearing.
In this work, the familiar structure is reimagined as a departing star, a visual elegy for a landmark that has shaped memories, identity, and the skyline of Khobar city.

This poetic work captures the passage of days, inspired by the linguistic interplay between the Arabic words تَمْر (Tamer) and تَمُر (Tamor), as well as the English words “Date” (the fruit) and “Date” (the day). Time moves swiftly and never returns, yet every moment leaves its mark, whether subtle or significant.
The project goes beyond simple phonetic resemblance to reflect on time and the fruits of effort, achievements that require patience and contemplation to be fully appreciated.
By translating this concept into a 2025 calendar, the work highlights the beauty of simplicity and the importance of valuing each passing moment, like dates that accumulate to leave a lasting imprint on our lives.
Artists Statment
I am inspired by stars—not as distant objects, but as reflections of ourselves. I see them as bursts of force, each shining uniquely in multiple directions, sharp and soft. This philosophy shapes a visual language that is gestural and dynamic, balancing precision with intuition. These celestial forms mirror our own nature: capable of shining in ways that are entirely our own, vibrating with a nervous, fleeting energy.
There is an urgency in my work to preserve what might otherwise fade: ephemeral expressions of selfhood and overlooked kinships. I weave between painting, digital design, sculpture, product, and performance, choosing the medium that best serves each idea. I embrace ambiguity as a generative space where form and meaning converge. Each work is both document and devotion, holding space for what deserves to be seen and remembered.
ممارستي الفنية مبنية على التأمل والملاحظة. أتتبع الروابط بين الهوية، لحظات عابرة والتقاليد الحديثة، وعلاقتنا بالطبيعة، مستخدمةً الرموز لكشف ما يكمن في الداخل. أحب الربط بين عناصر قد تبدو غير مترابطة، لتظهر الأفكار بنظرة جديدة

لا أراها كأجسام بعيدة، بل كانعكاس لنا. أراها انفجارات من القوة، يسطع كل منها بطريقته الخاصة وباتجاهات مختلفة، بين الحدة والنعومة. هذه الفلسفة تشكّل لغتي البصرية؛ فهي حركية وديناميكية وبطاقة نابضة بالحياة
